1. What is Traxo?
Traxo is an interactive website that enables globe-trotters to easily share their past and future travel plans with their network of friends, family, and colleagues.
2. Why should I use Traxo?
Never eat dinner alone in your hotel room again when you're on business. Traxo tells you in advance when your travels overlap with someone you know. Make plans for dinner, grab a drink, or catch a show, but don't eat alone.
Never read a travel recommendation from a stranger. Instead of searching through volumes of anonymous reviews on other travel sites, Traxo finds out who in your network has been to your upcoming destination and experienced what it offers. Your friend is now your destination guide.
Track down who is attending an upcoming business conference before you even get there. Traxo sees who within your professional network has already booked a trip to attend an event, so plan beforehand and start networking
Don't fall off the radar; stay in touch with your friends. Even if you aren't a frequent traveler, Traxo invites you to live vicariously through your friends and see the fun and exciting places they visit. You can view their photo albums or invite them to meet up for dinner to talk about their trip when they get back home.
3. How much does Traxo cost?
The basic Traxo product will always be free to use. However, to keep the service free, you will see advertisements from travel-related product and services that we believe are relevant to Traxo members.
4. How do I contact Traxo?
Visit our Contact Us form
here or send us an email at
feedback@traxo.com
1. Do I need an account to use Traxo?
Searching for information is allowed without having an account, but the information is very limited in order to protect our user's privacy. You will need to create a Traxo account with a valid email address and password in order to view most information about your friends, or share any of your travel information through Traxo. We put this process in place to ensure the privacy of our travelers.
2. Why didn't my new account confirmation email arrive?
Check your email application's spam or junk mail folder or filter for emails from Traxo. To make sure you receive emails from Traxo in the future, add
notifications-noreply@traxo.com to your address book.
Your ISP (internet service provider) may block unknown emails. Contact your ISP to ensure they don't stop email traffic from Traxo.com getting to you.
Double check that you entered a valid email address while you sign up for an account.
If you still have questions, please

J. Trip and Point/Mile Import:
1. Why aren't my trips, points or miles showing up in my Traxo account?
- Traxo only imports trips, miles and points that are listed in the travel site you have linked. If the information cannot be seen on the linked site, Traxo will be unable to detect and import the information. To link a new travel site,
- For some supported sites, we currently do not offer both trip import and miles and points management. To see which of your linked account offers only trip import or only miles and points management,
- Traxo only imports trips when the name on the booking matches an official travel name listed in your Traxo account. You can add or change your official travel names on this page.
- Traxo will only import confirmed, active and past date travel bookings. It will not import bookings that have been cancelled or put on hold.
- Points and miles information can take up to seven days to update in our system. However, your trip information will update on a nightly basis. If you have just finished purchasing your trip, you may need to wait up to 24 hours for the trip to be automatically detected. You can also manually refresh your trip information by clicking on the Refresh icon in the 'Trip Activity' column on this page. Manual refresh is currently not available for miles and points data.
2. When are my Points or Miles updated?
We update your Travel points/miles at least once a week. However, your trip information gets updated on a nightly basis.
1. How do you award trophies?/Why does your trophies not match my actual travel history?
In order to be fair to everyone, we award trophies based on the travel information we have in Traxo. Our technology allows us to automatically pull in your travel information for the accounts that you provide. Therefore, if you have not given us your account information, we can not pull in your travel data. For select sites we have the ability to pull in some past trip history. However, we can only pull in data that your travel account has stored on the website and we do not currently support all travel accounts. For example, you may have 300K miles flown on Delta over the past 10 years, but if Delta only stores the last 18 months and you've flown only 30K miles on Delta then we can only give you credit for 30K miles. However, you can always manually enter your past trips to receive credit.
2. What is the difference between a verified and non verified trip?
A verified trip is one in which Traxo has pulled from one of your travel accounts, i.e. Airline or hotel. A non verified trophy is one which is from a manually entered trip. The more travel accounts you link, the more trophies you can potentially earn.
3. How do I stop sharing my trophies?
You can stop sharing trophies by clicking on your settings tab and setting trophies as private.
4. How do I get credit for a trip I have made on an airline that I do not have currently linked in Traxo?
Just link up your travel accounts and you will start to receive credit for your future trips.
5. How do I receive credit for my past trips?
There are two ways to receive credit for past trips. We currently are pulling in past location from over a dozen travel and check in services including: Southwest, Delta, United, US Airways, Starwood, Expedia, Hotwire, Orbitz, Priceline, Travelocity , FourSquare, TripIt and Gowalla. We will add support for more travel accounts over time. We will pull in whatever information is stored on the respective travel website. The other way to receive credit is by manually entering your trips, you will receive a trophy for thee places that you visited.
6. How do I share my trophies?
You can share you trophy by simply holding your mouse over the trophy. After a few seconds you will see a facebook and twitter share button which will allow you to easily share your trophy with your friends.
7. What happens if I delete a trip?
When you delete a trip you will lose any associated trophies earned due to that trip.
8. How do I see my friend's trophies?
If you click on your friend's profile page then you will be able to see the trophies they have earned, unless they have marked their trophy module as private.
9. What are achievement trophies?
We award achievement trophies when you successfully reach a certain milestone. For example, if you visits your 30th state, then Traxo will award you the "30 State Trophy". These trophies are shareable on facebook or twitter so brag about your accomplishment.
10. Why doesn't my "Country Visited" trophy match my actual number of countries? (or states, travel accounts)
We only award the "Country Visited" trophy upon reaching a certain milestone. For example, you may have visited 3 countries, but the next Country Visited milestone is 4 Countries. You will only see the 2 Country Visited trophy even though you have been to 3 countries. Once you have traveled to your 4th country, then you will receive the 4 Country Visited Trophy.
11. I don't see all of my travel accounts listed in the Account tab. Where are they?
For space reasons, we only display a limited number of travel accounts in the Account tab. If you would like to see of them, simply hit the "View All" link on the bottom right and you can see all of your accounts.
12. How are my Traxo miles calculated?
We calculate the number of miles you traveled on each and every trip that you take that exists on Traxo, whether you drive, fly or take a train. We calculate the miles based on the distance from one location to another. It is very likely that this will not correspond to the number of miles flown as you see on your airline accounts as we do not have all of your past trip history.
13. Why does my status level on Traxo match my actual status level?
We verify your status level on a frequent basis, unfortunately there will be times when we do not accurately reflect your status. When this occurs, please hit the feedback link on top of the page.
